Schedule Changes
for Shuttle Routes
Due to city of Evanston construction, changes have been made to many of the University’s shuttle routes; please view the updated schedules.
Effective 9/24, the Intercampus shuttle service will add more service during the morning and afternoon commute. Many of the scheduled times have changed; please review the new schedule. In addition, Pace has declined to renew their contract and will no longer operate on this route. Shuttle America (formerly Royal American) will service the entire intercampus route. Pace will cease operating Route 426 after Friday, 9/21. With the departure of Pace busses, the Intercampus Shuttle will no longer make unscheduled stops, only scheduled stops will be made. Fewer stops will allow the shuttle to maintain a more consistent and reliable schedule.
It doesn't
get any better than this…
Campus parking rates were raised this fall, but the Ryan Field parking
permit price of $25 stayed the same. If you take classes or work in the
Evanston location, the Ryan Field parking permit is a good alternative
for those not wishing to pay the full permit rate or for those who live
within the walking zone and need a place to park their vehicle. Chicago
campus faculty, students, and staff can consider parking their vehicle
at Ryan Field and taking the Intercampus Shuttle to Chicago.
Staying safe
between sunset and sunrise
If you’re staying in the Evanston campus library into the wee hours
of the morning to grade papers, prepare your lecture for next week’s
classes, finish a paper or cram for an exam, please stay safe and take
the Purple Route or the Purple Express. The shuttles make stops throughout
the Evanston campus from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. seven days a week.
In Evanston, you can
also call the SafeRide. This is a safety program available to Northwestern
students, faculty and staff 7 days a week, from 9 PM - 2:30 AM. Need a
ride? Call 847-491-7000. Our drivers will pick you up and drop you off
anywhere within SafeRide's boundaries. For more information, see www.northwestern.edu/saferide.
