| On the Evanston campus, shipping and receiving is decentralized, and is generally handled by each department/building as they see fit. Some departments/buildings operate shipping and receiving functions for their own needs. This includes the University Library, Hogan Biological Sciences, and Facilities Management and IT at 2020 Ridge Avenue. University Services handles the shipping and receiving function for the McCormick School of Engineering from the mail/receiving room located in the Technological Institute. This also covers areas in the Catalysis Center, the Pancoe-ENH Life Sciences Pavilion, Cook Hall, and the Ford Engineering Design Center. The Technological Institute mail/receiving room also handles shipping for these areas. Shipping and receiving on the Chicago campus is centralized and is located at the Tarry Building. However, Abbott Hall, Lurie Center, and the Lake Shore Center are the exceptions as they maintain their own docks. The Tarry Building Shipping and Receiving services Levy Mayer Hall, McCormick Hall, Morton Building, Searle Building, Tarry Building, Ward Building, Wieboldt Hall, and other McGaw Medical Center locations. Shipping and receiving on the Chicago campus is only for University-related business. Employees can not use shipping and receiving for personal packages. UPS shipping for the rest of the Evanston campus is available through Mail Services; and through the Tarry Building Shipping and Receiving area on the Chicago campus. UPS shipping is to be used for University business only, personal packages will not be accepted. The University will not be responsible for any lost or stolen deliveries or shipments.
