Fleet:

• Sedans seat 4 to 5 people. They may be midsize, intermediate, or compact four door models with front wheel drive, automatic transmission, air conditioning, and AM/FM radios. Full size premium vehicles are available by special request.

• Minivans seat 7 people, depending on the model available. They have automatic transmission, air conditioning, and AM/FM radios.

• Cargo vans seat 2 people. Cargo vans have rear wheel drive, automatic transmission, AM/FM radios, and full windows. The cargo hauling capacity is approximately 1,000 lbs with interior load space of 8 feet in length, 4 feet in height, and four feet in width at the wheel walls.

• Charter service - Buses are available for off-campus trips. Contact Parking and Transportation at 312-503-8129 for more information.

Rates:

Below rental rates DO NOT INCLUDE GASOLINE. The rates are effective from September 1, 2007 through August 31, 2008.

• Daily Rates - 240 miles per rental day. On weekends, vehicles picked up at 4pm on Friday and returned on Monday morning to the Motor Pool office will be charged for two days.

For long-term rental commitment or specialized vehicle requirements, please contact Motor Pool at 847-491-3560 for quotes.

If you exceed the mileage limit, the following rates are assessed:

• Sedan: $0.20/mile

• Minivan: $0.30/mile

• Cargo van: $0.30/mile

Other Charges

• $50.00 service charge for lost remote entry transmitter.

• $40.00 service charge for lost keys.

• Bicycles may not be carried in any Motor Pool passenger vehicle, such as sedans or minivans. Any passenger vehicle rental found to be carrying bicycles will be subject to a minimum $40.00 clean up fee.

• $318 for lost parking hang tags.
