Why should I choose a U.S. Bank WildCARD?

In Evanston, you’ll be able to get fast money on campus (with no ATM fees) at the Norris University Center (with a full-service branch open 9:00 am – 6:00 pm Monday – Friday as well as 3 ATMs), Shepard Hall (outside building), Sports Pavilion and Aquatics Center (SPAC), Kellogg (Jacobs Center – Lower Level Food Court), the Technological Institute, and the Pancoe Building.

In Chicago, ATMs are located in Abbott Hall, Searle Medical Research Building, Huron Parking Garage (East Huron Street Entrance), and Levy Mayer Hall. Chicago campus students can also visit the U.S. Bank full-service branch at the following location:

Where do I sign up?

If you’d like to open a U.S. Bank account now – you can do it online. For students, simply go to usbank.com/northwestern. If you have any questions or problems with the application process (for example, if you are turned down because you do not have a credit history), please email U.S. Bank. Faculty and Staff, visit usbank.com and use reference code 001739.

If you prefer to apply in person once you get to campus, you can apply at the U.S. Bank full-service branch at Norris University Center. If you wish, you can access the application online (student application, faculty/staff application), and bring the completed application with you to the bank when you return to school.

What happens if I have a question or problem when I sign up for a U.S. Bank account online?

If you have any questions or problems with the application process (for example, if you are turned down because you do not have a credit history), please email U.S. Bank.

What if I already have a U.S. Bank account?

No problem – just bring your bank account info with you to the U.S. Bank Norris University Center branch and they will link it to your WildCARD. Any arrangements you have already made with U.S. Bank in the past (such as direct deposits) will stay the same.

I’m usually tied up in class all day and I may not always have time to get to the bank during the day. Will U.S. Bank’s Norris University Center branch be open after my classes are over?

The U.S. Bank representatives understand a student’s busy schedule and the Norris University Center full-service banking branch will be open until 6:00 PM during the week.
